🔥 FLAMBOREE 2026 at Cowley Adventure 🔥

We’re inviting all Girlguiding and Scouting members and their families to join us for a special evening around the campfire.

Enjoy songs, stories and a cosy hot chocolate as we come together to celebrate friendship and adventure outdoors.

📅 Friday 12 June 2026
⏰ 7:00pm – 9:00pm
📍 Cowley Adventure (formerly Deer Park), GL53 9NJ

Tickets: £5 per person
Includes a hot drink and an event badge. Additional refreshments will be available to purchase.

Meet Alethea! 👋

Alethea has been part of the Cowley Adventure team for 2 years. She joined for the chance to do something she truly loves, and because she didn’t want to be left wondering “what if?”.

Although she doesn’t come from a Girlguiding background, she previously worked in youth and community outdoor education and has a real passion for the non-profit sector.

What Alethea loves about her role is meeting new people, and working in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For her, the role is great for wellbeing - her job is her playground and her hobby!

She’s passionate about giving young people the opportunity to be outdoors and experience adventurous activities in a safe, supportive environment. 💜

Thank you to the two groups of volunteers who helped at our recent service day. 🧤

It was such a great effort, with two benches given a coat of wood stain, all the campfire circles tidied and edged with logs, an area in the woods cleared of logs and branches ready for the Hammock area, weeding and digging, and a playground makeover. ✨

Thank you everyone for helping us maintain and develop Cowley Adventure! 🌱

3 of our instructors are now fully qualified to lead axe-throwing! 🪓🪵

They had a great training day on-site and can’t wait to start instructing these sessions.
