It's that season.....gluts incoming and we can help. If you have more than you need why not share with our network partners. We have links into all the emergency food support providers and fridge networks in Cheltenham and can ensure your surplus goes to those who need it.

Why? The world is on fire. Over consumption is rife, convenience is king and the health of our communities is getting worse.

We want to bring you the antidote - news about chemical free, plastic free, community driven good food. Where choice is freely available, people are put before profit and our systems benefit us not making us sick.

Yesterday we facilitated the session setting out a for the work we believe is possible. We started with the looking at how with food waste can easily link into those sitting at the bottom rings of our food ladder - emergency and community food provision.

We haven't disappeared (although some may have hoped we had) instead we have been designing our 2025 campaign 'Every Mouthful Matters' launching this April.

Every Mouthful Matters is a call to value every bite of food — recognising the connection, resources, and culture behind each meal. It challenges food waste, honors food producers and our connection to land, and asks us to rethink our relationship with food.

Food is more than fuel — it’s life, labor, culture, and care. When we value food, we value farmers, producers, each other and the earth itself.

2024 reflections are wild for team GFC.

💥 We moved one step closer to enacting a food strategy with the creation and delivery of our first food board alongside and .

💥 We collaborated with to develop a rolling community conversation around good food.

💥 We built on the work of surplus food redistribution with the launch of a community fridge .

💥 We successfully delivered a 12 month growing pilot with . Impact report incoming!

💥 We spoke at the event about running a alongside some amazing other district based orgs and .cotswolds networking event about why suppliers should choose locally produced good food.

💥 We continued to grow our network of like minded businesses, charities and projects.

💥 We officially joined the network

Fancy a spot of ? We are so pleased to announce the Planted CK community fridge is opening at Planted Community Cafe on Friday 29th November.

This Hubbub community fridge will tackle food waste and bring together surplus food to be redistributed across Charlton Kings.

What is ? It's giving up no more than half an hour of your day to help us with the vital checks and ensuring the fridge is clean. We will setup a volunteer network and run an online rota.
