Some exciting news which will help with the development of CASP ππ«π
The Together Free Foundation are thrilled to announce The National Lottery's Reaching Communities Fund have approved their application for three year funding to support the development of the Antislavery Partnerships in Southend, Colchester and Chelmsford. Whoop!
With an estimated 3474 victims of modern slavery in Essex, the grant will support the continued delivery of coordinating and consolidating the three Antislavery Partnerships. This will include prevention and safeguarding through awareness raising, training, intelligence and disruption activities.
It will also enable the continued work of the Survivor Connect Project in Southend and expansion of survivor support to Colchester and Chelmsford. Community based support will be offered for 25 survivors, including Anna (name changed): 'After moving to Southend, SAMS Partnership has been there for me and has transformed my life immensely. I have been helped lots with my personal life and families, with my well-being and mental health issues.'
Together Free's Trustees note, 'with thanks to the National Lottery grant and our partners who supported the application and ongoing work, we are able to continue developing partnership responses towards slavery-free communities in Essex and increasingly providing community-based support to those exploited'.
