There’s a new resident of Oaklands Park in Chelmsford!

Chelmsford Beekeepers organised a fundraising drive and thanks to their incredible efforts and the generous support of the public, one of our Buzz in the City sculptures has found its forever home.

Beethology, was created by artist Karis Harrington. This beautiful bee explores the deep connection between bees and human culture, inspired by ancient myths and traditions.

With Oaklands Park already home to the Museum of Chelmsford and the observatory beehive cared for by Chelmsford Beekeepers, it’s the perfect spot for this stunning sculpture.

🐝 Help us give Chelmsford a permanent bee- all money raised goes to FARLEIGH HOSPICE !

Chelmsford Beekeepers are raising funds to purchase one of the Buzz in the City bee sculptures from FARLEIGH HOSPICE and give it a permanent home in Oaklands Park for everyone in Chelmsford.

Thanks to amazing support so far, we’ve raised £1,725 of our £2,500 target - leaving just £775 to go.

Oaklands Park is home to Chelmsford Museum and the observatory beehive cared for by CBK members, making this a perfect location for the sculpture.

Some people have been incredibly generous ❤️, and we’ve already raised £1,400. Every penny goes directly to Farleigh Hospice so we can purchase a giant bee 🐝 sculpture for everyone to enjoy at Oaklands Park.
