Approximately 6,000 major limb amputations are carried out in the UK every year. Whether someone is about to have an amputation or they are already living with congenital or acquired limb-loss, our objective is to enable all amputees to achieve rehabilitation and independence in hospital, home, education, employment and the community. Are you ready to take on the challenge of all challenges in support of the LA? 🏃

The LA is excited to announce that we have a limited number of places for the first Saturday London Marathon, taking place on 24th April 2027.

We’re putting together a team for the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon's Saturday challenge. If you’re interested in taking on this momentous challenge of body and mind while raising funds to support our work, please get in touch to express your interest by emailing [email protected] 📧

Day in, day out, we’re helping new amputees and their families navigate the multiple and often complex challenges they face. It’s heartbreaking to hear stories of desperation and despair, as life can be just too overwhelming when rebuilding lives after limb loss.

As a small charity, there’s a growing pressure on our services, and we simply can’t do this vital work without our wonderful fundraisers. If the London Marathon isn’t for you, then please get in touch to talk to us about other opportunities where you can make a difference and help us to ensure that no amputee need cope alone.
