๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ†We are very proud to congratulate John Cameron-McIntosh on a fantastic result at the Area Contest!

John gave two truly impressive performances on the day โ€” taking 1st place in the International Speech Contest and also achieving 2nd place in the Evaluation Contest. A brilliant achievement and a reflection of the hard work and dedication he brings to every speech. ๐Ÿ‘

It was also a special moment to see John receive a Legacy Award, following our clubโ€™s nomination, in recognition of his contribution and commitment over time.

A wonderful result, and very well deserved โ€” congratulations, John! We are proud to have you representing our club and wish you success in your future projects. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽ‰

โ€œIt's perfectly okay to be imperfect.โ€
โ€” Anwesha Banerjee, DTM, Ph.D.

If public speaking feels scary, know that youโ€™re not alone. Many people find giving speeches intimidating โ€” but the good news is that confidence can be built step by step.

Discover why public speaking can feel so challenging, and how to manage that fear, in the article below.

๐Ÿ’ก โ€œWhich Path should I choose?โ€

Itโ€™s one of the most common questions new Toastmasters ask โ€” and the answer always starts in the same place: your goals!

Whether you want to:
๐ŸŽค present with confidence at work
๐Ÿ‘ฅ lead teams more effectively
๐Ÿค influence stakeholders
๐Ÿ˜„ or deliver messages with humour

Your Pathways journey is designed to align with what you want to achieve. When your learning path matches your personal ambitions, every speech, project, and role becomes more meaningful โ€” and far more rewarding.

Pathways is an online, project-based curriculum that helps members build communication and leadership skills through five levels.

All Paths contain:
โ€ข 5 levels of increasing complexity
โ€ข Required and elective projects
โ€ข Specific meeting role requirements at each level
โ€ข At levels 3, 4 and 5 members build their skills by delivering short educational presentations to the club

๐Ÿ‘‰ Curious about Pathways?
To learn more โ€” join our next meeting at 19:30, to see it in action!

๐ŸŒŸโ€œNew Year - New Meโ€

We kicked off the year with our very first meeting and a powerful theme: New Year, New Me. Fresh goals, renewed confidence, and inspiring stories filled the room โ€” the perfect reminder that Toastmasters is where growth begins.

Hereโ€™s to a year of learning, speaking, and becoming our best selves! ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŒŸ
