Out to Africa The Out to Africa project is intended to establish a long-term relationship between MEHT and UTH that will bring mutual benefits through shared learning.

This charitable project was initiated by Consultant Vascular Surgeon, Tom Browne and the overall aim is to link as many people and departments within MEHT, with their peers at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, Zambia. The programme is intended to establish a long-term relationship between the two organisations that will bring mutual benefits through shared learning. An important as

pect of the agreement is that it encompasses a variety of disciplines, including nursing, medicine, IT, estates and governance.

Lunabelle Lovelies is run by our project manager Margaret. She makes pet accessories and brooches to raise money for charity. One of her charities this year is Out to Africa. So far this year she has raised more than £550 for us and almost £2500 for all the charities she is supporting.
