This year, there’s even more to enjoy beyond the maze.

From 25th July 2026, Writtle Maize Maze returns with family fun, fresh air and plenty of summer photo moments.

You may also spot our brand new Dahlia & Sunflower logo, created especially for our pick your own flower area. We’ll be sharing more of the new logo, along with sneak peeks of the flowers as they grow👀

𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹! 🌞

The weather is set to heat up later this week and continue for a few days. Thank goodness for a sunny Bank Holiday weekend, we hear you cry! Indeed.
HOWEVER, please remember that your furry family may not love the sun quite as much as we do!

Here are few things to keep in mind when the sun comes out:

- Walk your dog early morning or late evening, to avoid the warmer times of the day.
- Check the pavement isn't too hot for their paws: use the back of your hand to feel.
- Don't leave them in the garden unaccompanied with no shade: many love a paddling pool!
- Make sure there is a shady spot for them indoors: put damp towels down for them to lie on.
- Ensure there is always plenty of cold drinking water out for them: Use ice cubes to keep the water cool.
- 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥, 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗥 - not even for a short time - 22 degrees outside can be 47 degrees inside the car. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁.
