We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has visited The Arts Quarter since we announced our imminent closure. Your kind words and support have kept us going over these past four weeks.

Times are changing, and sadly, our independent high street and local community hubs are at risk of disappearing just when we need them most. You never truly know the treasures hidden behind a door or window on your local high street. So why not start today, explore somewhere new, strike up a conversation, and you might just discover a new favourite place to create, shop… or even make a new friend.

To all our shelf and wall renters, workshop facilitators, exhibiting artists, and everyone who contributed to our open exhibitions: we cannot thank you enough for being such a special part of our journey. Your creativity has filled our space with colour, joy, and inspiration, touching not only us, but also locals, holidaymakers, and even those visiting from just a few miles away. Please keep making, sharing, and shining through the things you love most.

The Arts Quarter (Cheddar Arts Quarter C.I.C) is a new and exciting venture located at the base of Cheddar Gorge. Featuring a large shared studio space for a variety of local artists to work in, three individual studios, a classroom and a shop/gallery where we will be selling high quality art, crafts and work by local Somerset makers.

As a Community Interest Company, we are not for profit, meaning that money raised through our workshops and the shop will be reinvested back into the business and the community. We aim to set up arts opportunities within the local community and to raise the profile of the huge variety of talented artists in Somerset.
