The Hannah Whitley Foundation A page for us to keep everyone informed of our progress with this amazing foundation for our Han. Registered charity number 1188931

โ€œHannah passed away at the age of 23, a long way before her time and a long way from home, just when her life was flourishing into a bright future where she could achieve her dreams. Hannah had already achieved great things by the age of 23, excelling in her career as a qualified chartered accountant, but life was more to Hannah than work so at the end of 2017 she left to begin her trip of a lifet

ime. It was her dream to travel the world, and whilst working she had saved up enough money to experience everything South East Asia had to offer. However, it was not to be, and 10 days into her trip Hannah was involved in a fatal road traffic accident which took her life in Goa, India. Hannah had a unique personality, her vitality, passion and above all love of life was infectious, and it touched everybody who knew her. Her spirit was rare and it will live on through this foundation which was set up in the months after her passing. Her vibe was completely her own. She reminded me of no one else. Hannah was a very spiritual person, she loved yoga and meditation and through this love we will ensure her spirit lives on to help others.โ€

Remembering Han๐Ÿ’™

Monday marked 8 years since we lost our gorgeous Han. A loving soul who touched so many lives, taken from us far too soon, but her light continues to shine in our hearts every single day.

Han will forever be remembered for her kindness, laughter, and the joy she brought to those around her. We are so grateful for the continued love and support from everyone over the past seven years, and as we enter 2026, we hold her memory close and cherish all the beautiful moments we shared.

She will always be deeply missed and forever loved โœจ4.5.1994 - 22.12.2017โœจ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ Finding Light as the Days Grow Darker ๐Ÿ

As we move deeper into autumn, the darker mornings and earlier nights can start to affect how we feel โ€” especially if youโ€™re coping with grief, bereavement, or struggling with your mental health.

The change in season can make us feel more tired, low, or disconnected. But gentle movement and connection can really help to lift our mood and bring calm back into our week.

๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ Join us every Thursday at Yoga on The Edge for a free yoga class with the Hannah Whitley Foundation โ€” a safe, welcoming space to slow down, breathe, and take care of yourself.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we want to remind anyone who may be struggling โ€” you are not alone. ๐Ÿ’š

At the Hannah Whitley Foundation, we believe that healing can take many forms. Through our free yoga sessions, we aim to help those suffering from mental and emotional distress find moments of calm, strength, and connection.

Whether youโ€™re coping with loss, grief, or any kind of emotional struggle, yoga can offer a gentle path forward โ€” a way to breathe, move, and begin to heal. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

If you or someone you know could benefit from this space of care and support, we welcome you to join us. ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ’› A space to talk, connect and remember ๐ŸŒป

Grief can feel incredibly isolating, but you donโ€™t have to go through it alone. Our Share, Talk and Remember group is here to offer a warm, welcoming environment where you can come together with others who understand what you're going through.

Whether youโ€™d like to talk, listen or simply be with others whoโ€™ve experienced loss, this group is open to anyone who has lost a loved one.

๐Ÿ“ Held at our Sunflower Living Well Centre, Macclesfield, SK10 3DR:
๐Ÿ•‘ 2nd Friday of each month, 2โ€“4pm
๐ŸŒ™ 4th Wednesday of each month, 7โ€“9pm
Our next STAR Group is Friday 11th July

If you or someone you know could benefit from this kind of support, weโ€™d love to welcome you. No one should have to face grief on their own.

At our last First Friday Networking event we offered people the chance to enter a prize draw for a Clarins beauty hamper for a small donation ๐Ÿ’ท

Thanks to peoples generosity we managed to raise nearly ยฃ300 which has been split between our two chosen charities - The Hannah Whitley Foundation and St Ann's Hospice.

(See pic below of the winner of hamper Andrew Nelson, along with our very own Brian Bradley! ๐Ÿ‘)
