🎩 What a fantastic night with Erik Tait! 🃏

A huge thank you to Erik Tait for delivering an incredible lecture at the Manchester Circle of Magicians!

It was brilliant to see such a large turnout, with so many people coming along to learn from one of magic’s most entertaining and knowledgeable performers.

From mind-blowing tricks that left us wondering how on earth he did them, to invaluable advice and practical tips for strolling magicians, there was something for everyone to take away and put into practice.

A thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring evening. Thank you, Erik, and thank you to everyone who came along! 👏✨

Expect incredible magic, unique techniques, clever thinking and plenty of inspiration from one of the UK’s most distinctive performers.

🎩 WHAT A WORKSHOP! 🪄

A huge thank you to each and every one of you who came along to our final Club Workshop of 2026!

This wasn’t your typical magic lecture… it was hands-on, interactive and packed with ideas that we could immediately try for ourselves. It was a brilliant opportunity to learn, experiment and share techniques together as a group.

And if you weren’t there… you genuinely missed a good one! 👀

🎈 showed us something that, on the surface, might seem unrelated to magic — how to make a balloon animal.

But Phil demonstrated exactly why this can be such a powerful tool when incorporated into a magic routine, particularly for magicians performing in restaurants and walk-around environments. A great example of how the simplest ideas can create incredibly strong moments for spectators.

😈 then took us through an extremely deceptive switch, exploring not only how to perform it, but how it can be cleverly used to set yourself up for your next trick — or even prepare for your next table when table hopping.

🤯 And then came Adrian Sullivan… WOW. WOW. WOW.

Adrian gave us a first-hand look at how to execute an incredibly deceptive casino wash shuffle, before taking us through a rope routine and showing us how to deceive everyone — including a room full of magicians — with his handling of the Shell Game.

🤗 To top it all off, Adrian even prepared print-outs for everyone who attended, giving us material to take home and continue practising.

❤️ That’s what our workshops are all about.
Learning new material. Trying things out. Sharing ideas. And, most importantly, having a room full of people who are just as obsessed with magic as you are.

We hope you enjoyed the workshop as much as we did!
And if you missed this one… don’t make the same mistake next year. 😉

We’ll be doing it all again next year! 🙌

For now, we look forward to seeing you all on Monday 14th September for our Annual Club Competition! 🏆
Details coming very soon on our Club Website and Social Media pages.
