🧸🧸🧸We need your unwanted teddies and soft toys!

Every year at the Chatteris Christmas Lights Switch-On we run a teddy tombola but our soft toy stores are running low.

We would love to find your soft toys a new home in time for Christmas. Please comment below if you have any cuddlies to donate and we will be in touch to arrange collection or drop off. 🧸🧸🧸

Thank you so much to Policing Fenland for visiting 3rd Chatteris Rainbows this week and answering the Rainbow's non-stop questions which ranged from thoughtful to side-splittingly funny.

We had great fun learning about how the police help us and what it is like to be a police officer. We think there are some potential future recruits in our unit.

Great questions and excellent listening Rainbows, well done!

These are all things that we were asked by the girls at Chatteris Rainbows yesterday! 🌈

We were kindly invited to talk to the unit about the role of the police and what we do day-to-day to keep them safe. We also ensured that they knew where to go and who can help them should they ever find themselves lost or in danger!

Thank you for having us, we loved meeting you all and hope you learnt lots about what we do in the community!

We have two Brownie units in Chatteris for girls aged 7-10. One of our units meets on a Tuesday and the other is on a Wednesday evening. Brownies currently have spaces in both units for after Easter.

If your daughter would like to join one of our Brownie units please register your interest at: https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus/ A leader will be in touch to offer your daughter a space based on their position on our waiting lists.

These Brownies are now gaining some of the highest awards from their time in Girlguiding Chatteris District. It is so lovely to have seen them grow through their time in Brownies and see how much they have achieved.

We have had a wonderful morning of roller skating at Wisbech with 113 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Leaders and Young Leaders from Chatteris and Doddington.

We are so proud of all our young members from 4-18 for trying something new, showing perseverance and resilience, helping each other across sections and having a great time while they were at it.

Thank you to leaders from Chatteris, Doddington, Ely and Wisbech for volunteering their time to give the girls a great end-of-term treat. And we all went home with a super sparkly badge too.

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and their leaders are enjoying KD Theatre Productions Robin Hood pantomime at The Maltings, Ely riverside as our end of year outing.

54 young members, 12 leaders and additional family helpers from Chatteris District Rainbows, 3rd Chatteris Rainbows, 3rd Chatteris Brownies, 6th Chatteris Brownies, 1st Chatteris Guides and 1st Chatteris Rangers are booing, cheering and "oh no we don't-ing' our hearts out!

Girlguiding Chatteris District are feeling festive (and a bit chilly) at the Chatteris Christmas Light Switch On.

Teddy Tombola is proving popular and we have a lucky dip and small teddies for sale too. Come and have a go!

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers from our six Chatteris units attended the Remembrance Parade through Chatteris and the service following the parade at Chatteris Parish Church today.

Rainbows, Brownies and Guides laid wreaths, a representative from 1st Chatteris Guides lit the candle for peace, while Brownies and Rangers helped with the collection in the church for the British Legion. We are proud of the active role our young members have taken in remembering the fallen.

Three of our units have visited Chatteris Museum this week where they have been fascinated by the objects they helped to unpack.

We won the 'Best Overall' in the Chatteris Festival 1920s parade with our flapper outfits with headdresses and pasta longline necklaces made in all units this week.
