WARNING NOTICE 2026 AGM

Members

Further to the 2025 AGM and the subsequent minutes. You may recall that Ricky Tootle suggested that we hold the 2026 AGM at the South Beach Hotel in Troon.Ricky has now contacted the Hotel, and please find below the details.
The date agreed is the weekend 13th/15th March 2026.The Hotel is block booked for those dates for both Plant Branch and Amphibious Engineers Branch under the booking reference ROYAL ENGINEERS WEEKEND.The Hotel has 32 rooms, 8 of which are on the ground floor, there are no lifts.We shouldn't run out of rooms, Coventry is always less than 30 rooms.
The cost would be £155 per person for 2 nights B&B and a 4 course dinner on Saturday evening. This is based on 2 persons sharing. £105 per person B&B staying only on the Saturday night and £35 per person Saturday dinner. Members would arrive from 1300hrs onwards on the Friday with a check out time at 1100hrs on Sunday. Please note there is a single supplement of £25. With members travelling from all over they can no doubt fend for themselves for food on the Friday night. The Hotel has a full menu on the Friday evening.

Another successful AGM held at the Holiday Inn, Coventry, (J2 M6). 31 members turned up including two guests; Tony Dyer and Paul Merrifield from the Thanet Branch. Other commitments meant that a number of members of the Amphibious Branch couldn't make it this time which meant that we won the bulk of the raffle prizes. Looking forward to the next meeting on 10-11 October, same place. To book call 02476 587472. See you all there.
