We love having Moor House School & College visiting and learning at Diagrama Community Services on Duckyls Farm.

On Wednesday 25th March, our School Council had a wonderful visit to Duckyls Farm, owned by the Diagrama Foundation, the charity we proudly support.

We loved learning about the incredible work Diagrama does to support vulnerable adults, from woodwork and life‑skills training to gardening, animal care and cooking.

What an absolute pleasure to accompany the UK's Minister for Youth Justice Jake Richards on a trip to Spain, to share Diagrama's blueprint for better youth justice and hear him say "We can’t afford to ignore what works. I returned from Spain with a clear conviction: if we are serious about breaking the cycle of youth offending and preventing future victims, we must be bold about reform. That is exactly why I am committed to building a youth justice system fit for the future and will set out how we do that very soon.”

Diagrama Patron Lord John Bird, founder of the Big Issue, who has spent time at the Diagrama centres, said: “I’m pleased to see the justice minister visiting the exemplary Diagrama detention centres in Spain. I’ve long encouraged the government to replace our own faulty youth detention framework with their blueprint for real change."

"Figures provided by Fundación Diagrama last year showed that 16 per cent of the children who serve their sentences there go on to reoffend. Ministry of Justice (MoJ) figures for 2024 show that around 61.7 per cent of children in England and Wales released from custody that year reoffended."

Diagrama Foundation is celebrating after winning three awards last night at the Bromley Council Bromley Adult Care Awards, while also reaching the finals and being highly commended in several other categories, reflecting the dedication and compassion of staff who support people with learning disabilities and additional needs.

At the awards event at Bromley FC we won the Team, Dignity in Care, and Care Worker Awards, highlighting the exceptional work being carried out across our services.

Redhill Supported Living Service was recognised with the Team Award for their exceptional compassion, resilience, and professionalism; the team consistently demonstrated outstanding teamwork, strong partnership working and a deep commitment to person-centred care.

The second award was for Lorraine Ward, from the Brewery Road Supported Living Service who won the Care Worker Award for her remarkable patience, warmth and commitment as well as her outstanding support for individuals whose routines, preferences, and personalities truly matter.

The third award went to Alison Spry from Cabrini House in Orpington, who received the Dignity in Care Award, recognising the thoughtful and respectful way she approaches her work every day and her deep and practical understanding of what dignity means in care. Her contribution is rooted in empathy, reflection, and genuine respect for the rights and individuality of the people she supports.
Diagrama Foundation had more finalists than any other care provider across the London Borough of Bromley.

In addition to the three award wins, several employees and services were also highly commended in their categories. Those recognised included Beth Maina, Manager of Diagrama’s Supported Living Service, for the Workforce Development Award; Claire Morlham from Cabrini House, for the Manager Award; Vinson Close and Cabrini House for the Team Award; Beenish Alam, from Cabrini House for the Worker Award and Marina Rubio, Head of Professional Standards, for the Diane Smith Award.

David McGuire, Chief Executive of Diagrama Foundation, said he was delighted to see the team recognised.

“It is wonderful to see our colleagues recognised with three award wins and six commendations at the Bromley Adult Care Awards. These achievements are incredibly well deserved and reflect the compassion, professionalism, and dedication our staff show every single day. The work carried out by the Redhill team, Alison, and Lorraine truly demonstrates the values of person-centred care and respect that sit at the heart of Diagrama Foundation. I am also incredibly proud of every other Diagrama colleague and team who reached the finals of the Bromley Care Awards, as well as the many dedicated staff across the charity who continue to make a positive difference to people’s lives every day.”
