1st Charmouth Scouts is open to boys and girls aged 6 to 18 and includes Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. At Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more. We help young people enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. We’re talking about teamwork, lead

ership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians. We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures. With weekly meetings in term time at the Scout Hut in Charmouth, activity weekends and an annual camps, it is a fantastic world wide club to be part of for children as well as volunteer helpers. We are a low cost organisation. Termly subs are approx £30 per child. We also have a No Barriers Fund which can be used to support anyone, whatever their circumstances who may appreciate help with the cost of subs, uniform, trips or camps. Charmouth Scouts has 4 sections: Beavers (6 -8 years), Cubs (8 - 10 1/2 years), Scouts (10 1/2 - 14 year) and Explorer Scouts (14 - 18 years)

Really well done to the team of Scouts who pulled our trek cart loaded with water from Morecombelake to Charmouth, raising money for Mercy Scouts’ pure water projects in Uganda. A small reminder of how lucky we are in the UK.
You can donate at anytime to this cause through Charmouth Scout Group or direct with Mercy Scouts

For most of the Explorers this was a new challenge, making paper Christmas star decorations. Agreeing what music to listen to was almost as much of a problem as well!

If your teen needs a change of scenery and a generally phone free space on a Wednesday night drop us a message. A small friendly bunch, no previous Scout skills needed.

Our Scout Groups are all back for a new term and some new faces.

The Beavers had a brilliant time down at the orchard this week, learning all about turning apples into delicious juice.

In one special moment, Keavy one of our Young Leaders shared with the children how she remembered planting those very apple trees back when she was in Rainbows – such a lovely reminder of how Scouting and Guiding adventures can grow and flourish over time! 🌳💚

The Beavers worked together brilliantly – sorting, chopping, grating, and pressing the apples – before finally tasting the fresh juice they’d made themselves. Teamwork (and a little elbow grease!) made the results even sweeter. 🥤✨

Well done Beavers – what a fruitful day! 🍏👏
