A Massive Thank You to Our Fantastic Village Litter Pick Team! ♻️

On Saturday, October 3rd, Tatworth WI was joined by an incredible group of 17 volunteers for our Cleaner Rivers Campaign and Village Litter Pick. We met at the Tatworth Memorial Hall, and after gearing up with litter pickers and vests (kindly lent by the Parish Council), everyone got stuck in.

The turnout was fantastic, with people of all ages lending a hand. A special thanks to the young members of our team who did a stellar job!

The photos of our collected bags and items show just how much of a difference we made in just a few hours.

A huge thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make our local environment cleaner. We are proud to be part of such a caring community!

🎉 Huge congratulations to the Tatworth Belles! 🎉

On Saturday 26th September, our brilliant team represented us at the WI County Quiz. All the ladies worked so hard and put in a fantastic performance, securing 2nd place and missing out on the top spot by just two points! 🧠✨

We are thrilled to say they are officially County Runners-Up! 🥈🏆

What a brilliant achievement—well done, ladies! We are so proud of you all! 👏💚

We had a couple of 'small world' moments, and some of the best tiffin I've ever tasted. Thoroughly enjoying this public speaking malarkey! ❤️

What a fantastic June meeting for the Tatworth WI! We were thrilled to welcome Ed Chilcot, a ranger from Chard Reservoir, who shared the fascinating history of our local 184-year-old landmark—the highest reservoir in Somerset and a vital sanctuary for both people and wildlife. Ed brought along a captivating collection of specimens and artefacts, offering us a hands-on glimpse into the natural treasures found right on our doorstep. 🌲💦

We are also proud to announce that, starting this month, the Tatworth WI is launching a monthly Community Collection Table. We are now facilitating a regular collection of surplus groceries and essential household items to support our local community food bank and those in need. It is our way of helping our neighbours and strengthening the community we love. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this new initiative! 🍽️
