​Join Tatworth WI for a captivating evening with broadcaster and storyteller Luke Knight, creator of the popular Knight Tales channel with over 90,000 followers. From fascinating historical roots to spine-tingling tales of the paranormal, Luke brings Somerset’s hidden history, mysteries, and rich folklore to life!

As per WI tradition, our monthly meeting in July took us somewhere a little bit different! The Tatworth WI went 'on tour' to The Victoria Hotel in Sidmouth for our annual summer lunch. ☀️🍴

A lovely day was had by all—wonderful food, brilliant company, and plenty of laughs! A big cheers to all the lovely ladies who attended and made it such a special afternoon. 🥂✨

What a brilliant night at the county quiz in Bickenhall! 🧠✨

​We had two Tatworth teams going head-to-head: the Tatworth Belles vs. the Tatworth Brainboxes. After a friendly battle of wits, the Belles took home the win! 🏆

​A fantastic evening was had by all, and now we’re looking forward to the grand final coming up in September. Wish us luck! 🙌 🎉

What a fantastic June meeting for the Tatworth WI! We were thrilled to welcome Ed Chilcot, a ranger from Chard Reservoir, who shared the fascinating history of our local 184-year-old landmark—the highest reservoir in Somerset and a vital sanctuary for both people and wildlife. Ed brought along a captivating collection of specimens and artefacts, offering us a hands-on glimpse into the natural treasures found right on our doorstep. 🌲💦

We are also proud to announce that, starting this month, the Tatworth WI is launching a monthly Community Collection Table. We are now facilitating a regular collection of surplus groceries and essential household items to support our local community food bank and those in need. It is our way of helping our neighbours and strengthening the community we love. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this new initiative! 🍽️

🌸 What’s on at Tatworth WI? 🌸
Looking for a brilliant way to meet lovely local women, learn something new, or just enjoy a proper catch-up over a cuppa? We have a fantastic, varied programme lined up all the way through until next May!

From fascinating local history and wildlife talks to craft nights, quiz evenings, and guest speakers (plus plenty of coffee and cake!), there is truly something for everyone.

You don't need to be a member to try us out! Anyone is welcome to visit a regular meeting for just £2.

📢 THIS WEEKEND! 📢

The Tatworth WI is hosting another Village Litter Pick this Saturday! We know it's short notice, but if you have a spare couple of hours to help sprucen up our wonderful village, we’d love to see you there! 🌳🗑️

We are meeting at the Tatworth Memorial Hall at 10:30am until 12:30pm this Saturday 13th June.

We have all the equipment you need, kindly lent to us by the Parish Council. Refuse bags, gloves, and a limited number of litter pickers and vests are provided.

Please come along! ALL are welcome to join in.

Fingers crossed for lovely, dry weather! ☀️⛅
