We’re delighted that 1st Chalfont St Giles Scout Group has been selected for the Tesco Stronger Starts in-store community vote.

Our project, “Scouts – Skills for Life”, helps young people in Chalfont St Giles develop practical skills, teamwork and confidence through weekly Scouting activities and outdoor adventures.

🌺 Remembrance Sunday 2025 🌺

On Sunday, our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers took part in the Chalfont St Giles village Remembrance Parade to honour those who gave their lives in service.

We’re so proud of all our young people for representing Scouting with such respect and pride — and thank you to everyone in the community who came together to remember.

The annual Scout & Guide Fireworks Night is nearly here – and while we’ve got the rockets, the hot dogs, and the mulled wine… we’re still missing the most important ingredient: YOU!
We need volunteers for all sorts of glamorous roles, including:

Bonfire Builders (fancy yourself as a human Jenga expert?)
Food Tent Heroes (the fastest hot dog servers in South Bucks)
Mulled Wine Masters (keeping spirits high – literally 🍷)
Marshals (high-vis jackets are the new fashion statement)

Our Wednesday Cub Pack (ages 8–10½) at 1st Chalfont St Giles urgently needs new leaders from September. Without extra volunteers, this section may not be able to run.

👉 No experience needed – full training and support provided.
👉 Just 90 minutes a week (Wednesdays, 6.00–7.30 pm).
