Works for Us Works for Us is a local charity providing free career advice, guidance, and support to local people.

At Menopause Support, we offer a private menopause consultations service. We often provide those appointments for a concessionary fee to those who are struggling financially. We are delighted to say, that we are now able to also offer fully funded consultations to those experiencing financial hardship.

If you would like to book one of our private consultations, paid, concession, or fully funded, please drop an email to [email protected]

Our advisors are very experienced, have professional nurse training in menopause, and are members of the British Menopause Society. The consultations are for 45 minutes via phone or video call, and you can discuss anything at all related to menopause during that time. If it would be helpful, we can also write a letter for your doctor.

So whether you are in perimenopause, post menopause, surgical menopause, medically induced menopause, premature or early menopause, we will always do our best to help and support.
Most importantly we will listen to you.

This year, we are introducing summer drop-in sessions for those who lack confidence in using their laptop, smartphone or tablet.

This could include how to get online, how to send an email or using certain apps. Our trained digital skills adviser will answer any questions you have.

These drop-in sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 22nd July to 26th August between 10am-12pm.

If you would be interested in attending, you can find us at the Skills Centre in centre:mk. This will be held on the 2nd floor next to the Management Office.

Do you have an artistic or creative side? Or do you find drawing and painting helps relieve stress and anxiety?

Our Confidence through Art group allows you to meet new people in a relaxed setting. Let your creativity run wild and lose yourself in fun activities. These sessions run on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm, throughout the year.

This group is for anyone who is looking to build their confidence so they can get into employment.

This course is held at the Skills Centre which is situated on the 2nd floor of centre:mk.

💼 Works for Us have introduced the Interview Ready course. These 2 FREE sessions will develop your skills with answering questions at interviews.

👔 You can also access our Working Wardrobe in which you can choose an interview outfit and accessories that you feel comfortable in and is suitable for your chosen job role.

👑 Earlier this month, Citizens Advice Milton Keynes was incredibly honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to formally open our premises in Wymbush.

🤝 During the visit, Her Royal Highness met staff, volunteers, trustees and partner organisations involved in supporting residents across Milton Keynes through carers support, health and wellbeing services, employability programmes, outreach work and our core advice services.

💬 As Patron of the national Citizens Advice service, The Princess Royal was particularly interested in hearing directly from teams and volunteers about the kinds of issues people are facing locally and the work taking place every day across our organisation.

👏🏻 A huge thank you to everybody who helped make the day such a success - including our staff, volunteers, trustees, partners and supporters.

🏢 The visit also marked an important moment for the organisation following a major year of change and relocation. After many months of planning and hard work, it was a proud moment to see the building officially opened in such a special way. And perhaps most importantly of all - we can probably stop calling it “the new building” now. It finally feels like home.
