Our local Parish Council Meetings are held in Scotton Village Hall on the 1st Monday of each month at 7pm. Please see the local notice boards for minutes, agenda's and information. Meetings are always open to the public for up to date information on our community and spending as well as latest information from the District and County Councillors.

Are you a crafty person, can you paint, sew, make cards, make jewlery, make glass or any craft. Now is Scottons time to showcase their talent! Best handcrafted items, must be made within the year. Three groups 8 years and under, 9 to 14 years and 15 years plus ( thats for our mature person) Need to be ready for Saturday the 11th July. Benching is 10 till 11am and only £1 per entery.

Best 3 of the same floral stems (easy looking at most gardens in Scotton)
Best 3 of the same edible fruit (also easy if you have fruit bushes - no shop bought fruit)
Best 3 of the same edible vegetables.

These need to be benched in Scotton Village Hall between 10 and 11am on the 11th of July. Entry for all competitions are only £1.

Judging will commence at 12pm when certificates and prizes will be given out. We will have a coffee morning at the same time so lots of time to meet and chat with residents from Scotton.

PLANNED ROAD RESTRICTION NOTIFICATION - Meanee Road

Location: Meanee Road, Scotton

Description of works: Road closure to carry out inlay patching works.

The Restriction will be in place between the hours of 08:00 - 16:00 on the 14th July 2026

Scotton Parish have published the draft minutes for the meeting held on Monday the 1st of June 2026 on their website which is scotton-pc.gov.uk
Complaints have been received about overgrown hedges which back onto footpaths. If your property has a public footpath behind it and it is overgrown, please could you trim it so people can get by safely. You MUST check for nesting birds first.

The Agenda for Scotton Parish Annual Council Meeting has just been published on the website. The meeting will start at 7pm after the Annual meeting of the Parish. For the special occasion we will have lemon drizzle cake, biscuits, tea and coffee.

Please note that the Annual Meeting of Scotton will be held on Monday the 11th of May in Scotton Village Hall at 6.30pm. Members of the public who live in Scotton are invited to attend the Annual Meeting of Scotton Parish. Where questions can be asked. Residents can bring any questions to the Parish. The meeting has no agenda and is a legal requirement and open to all residents of Scotton.

We will be serving Lemon drizzle cake, tea, coffee and biscuits.

At 7pm the Annual Parish Meeting will commence and the Chairperson will be elected for the commencing year.

Scotton Parish Council will be holding their next meeting on Monday the 13th of April in Scotton Village Hall at 7pm. We serve tea and coffee and all are welcome. We do have consider questions from the public which is where you can ask questions, or comment on items from the agenda.
