We are a friendly community group that helps you – and the planet – by keeping valuable items in use and out of the dump. Bring your broken items and our volunteers will do their best to repair them, whether they’re electrical, mechanical, furniture, toys, or anything else that needs some TLC.

We meet at The Westway Centre, 25 Chaldon Road, CR3 5PG, alongside the Westway Common. Our next session is this Saturday, 8th August, from 10:30am–1:00pm (last repairs accepted at 12:30pm but possibly earlier if we are really busy).

Every month at the Caterham Repair Café we see many electrical items including household cleaning and kitchen equipment, music systems, power tools, office equipment, lights, computers... the list goes on!

But we also see, and often repair, some other items like jewellery, clothing, clocks, jump leads, furniture, garden equipment, toys – all sorts of things.

There’s no charge for our efforts (just for major components), though we encourage donations in support of The Westway Centre and the Caterham & District Food Bank.

Every month at the Caterham Repair Café we see many electrical items including household cleaning and kitchen equipment, music systems, power tools, office equipment, lights, computers... the list goes on!

But we also see, and often repair, some other iitems like jewellery, clothing, clocks, jump leads, furniture, garden equipment, toys – all sorts of things.

We are a friendly community group that helps you – and the planet – by keeping valuable items in use and out of the dump. Bring your broken items and our volunteers will do their best to repair them, whether they’re electrical, mechanical, furniture, toys, or anything else that needs some TLC. Last month must have been Spring Cleaning month because you brought the Caterham Repair Café 7 vacuum cleaners (5 of the same make!), 3 radios, 2 turntables, a card shuffler, a drum module, some necklaces, kitchen appliances, power tools, trousers, a stool to re-cover, a drum machine, an acoustic guitar, a sewing machine – the list goes on….

The Caterham Repair Café is meeting next on Saturday, 11th April from 10.30am -1.00pm (last orders 12:30) at The Westway Centre, 25 Chaldon Rd, CR3 5PG, alongside the Westway Common.

Last month we fixed a huge & heavy carved wood Confucius statue lamp (for the second time!) , and we also saw three vacuum cleaners, two toasters, two torches, two sewing machines, a record deck, an angle-poise lamp, a slide viewer, a dehumidifier and much more….

We don’t always succeed but we’ll have a really good try. We don’t charge for our efforts but we do ask for a donation to support our 2 charities – The Westway Centre and the Caterham & District Food Bank.

Bring your broken items and we will try to fix them – or perhaps you’d like to join the team?
