Join us this Saturday for our October event from 10.30am-1.00pm at The Westway, Community & Wellbeing Centre. ♻️ 🧡

From small household items, wooden furniture to clothing and toys, we will do our best to fix them. ♻️ 🧡

Repairs & advice are free and donations are warmly welcome in support of The Westway & Caterham Foodbank supporting local people in crisis, making a real difference. ♻️ 🧡

Enjoy a hot drink and a homemade cake while you wait. ♻️ 🧡

No need to book. We operate on first come, first served basis. One item per person please or rejoin the queue. Last repairs accepted at 12:30pm. ♻️ 🧡

Please remember to bring all necessary cables, adapters and batteries. ♻️ 🧡

Please ensure that your items are as clean as possible for our volunteers to work on effectively. ♻️ 🧡

It’s the Autumn Equinox today! Days are getting shorter, if you have any broken lamps bring them along to our next session and we will try to fix them. These two lamps were fixed recently.

Thomas the Tank Engine by Tomy: A much loved childhood toy on the move again ready for the next generation to play. Fixed at Caterham Repair Café.

Another successful repair at our September Repair Café. Denon CD receiver UD-M30: the volume control and CD tray are now working. Happy owner and another item saved from the bin!

We are a friendly community group that helps you – and the planet – by keeping valuable items in use and out of the dump. Bring your broken items and our volunteers will do their best to repair them, whether they’re electrical, mechanical, furniture, toys, or anything else that needs some TLC.

We meet at The Westway Centre, 25 Chaldon Road, CR3 5PG, alongside the Westway Common. Our next session is this Saturday, 8th August, from 10:30am–1:00pm (last repairs accepted at 12:30pm but possibly earlier if we are really busy).

Every month at the Caterham Repair Café we see many electrical items including household cleaning and kitchen equipment, music systems, power tools, office equipment, lights, computers... the list goes on!

But we also see, and often repair, some other items like jewellery, clothing, clocks, jump leads, furniture, garden equipment, toys – all sorts of things.

There’s no charge for our efforts (just for major components), though we encourage donations in support of The Westway Centre and the Caterham & District Food Bank.

Last month must have been Spring Cleaning month because you brought the Caterham Repair Café 7 vacuum cleaners (5 of the same make!), 3 radios, 2 turntables, a card shuffler, a drum module, some necklaces, kitchen appliances, power tools, trousers, a stool to re-cover, a drum machine, an acoustic guitar, a sewing machine – the list goes on….

The Caterham Repair Café is meeting next on Saturday, 11th April from 10.30am -1.00pm (last orders 12:30) at The Westway Centre, 25 Chaldon Rd, CR3 5PG, alongside the Westway Common.

Last month we fixed a huge & heavy carved wood Confucius statue lamp (for the second time!) , and we also saw three vacuum cleaners, two toasters, two torches, two sewing machines, a record deck, an angle-poise lamp, a slide viewer, a dehumidifier and much more….

We don’t always succeed but we’ll have a really good try. We don’t charge for our efforts but we do ask for a donation to support our 2 charities – The Westway Centre and the Caterham & District Food Bank.

Bring your broken items and we will try to fix them – or perhaps you’d like to join the team?
