Expert Patients Programme

Expert Patients Programme The Expert Patients Programme is a free NHS course, aimed at helping people to self-manage their long term physical and mental health conditions

The course runs over 6 weeks, with each session lasting two and a half hours. Some of the topics covered on the course include:

Building your confidence by making Action plans
Relaxation and Distraction techniques
Dealing with anger, fear, frustration and depression
Eating more healthily
Problem solving skills
Coping with pain and fatigue

The courses are run locally throughout the year and are delivered by tutors who also have a long term condition
