Today Crusading For Veterans & Crusaders Mcc went to Guyzance to pay our Respects.

17th January 1945, 10 trainee soldiers from The Dukes regiment & The Durham Light Infantry lost their lives in a river crossing training tragedy. All the boys were 18 years of age.

Kirby Nodder was a special gentleman to us all. He survived the D-day landings while doing his National service, then went on to join up with the Coldstream Guards after.
At 101 years old he had many a interesting tale to tell.

We will all miss you Kirby but we will have fond memories of you.

We took him to the coast for some fish & chips & thankfully as you can see, the sun was shining for us all 🥰🖤
