U14 league games round up ⭐️

The team recently wrapped up a run of home and away fixtures. Since the season restarted, the girls have shown noticeable improvement, earning more positive results and competing in closer games. Regardless of whether they had a full squad or just 11 players, their effort has been encouraging as they push for stronger performances. With improved defending and more goals on the board, the matches are becoming increasingly competitive, team work is improving as the team start to look like a cohesive unit together.

We have received a brilliant backing at Meadow Park so far this season, and we would love to see another big home support this weekend to cheer on the team in this massive cup fixture. We would appreciate if you could like and share this post as much as possible, and encourage friends and family to come along to the game 🏆⚽️

Threave U10 girls visited Lochmaben on a very wet and windy Sunday to take part in the Soccerbees festival.

Soccer Bees, Heston Rovers Football Club Girls, Galloway Thistle Youth Football Club Sc045742 and Langholm Girls Football Club were all in attendance.

Our girls split into two teams and performed really well considering the weather. Both teams put in real battling displays and, even when the heavens really opened, they still battled on.

There were some great individual performances across the teams too.

Special mention to the girls who stepped up from the U8s to help us today – they were a credit to themselves.

A big thank you to Soccer Bees for hosting. The girls really enjoyed their day!

⚽ Threave Girls U10s ⚽
Last night (Wednesday 16th September) we played our first match in the trial League format that a few teams in the region are trying out.
Venue: Birkland Road, Castle Douglas
Opposition: Soccer Bees

We played two 30-minute matches followed by a penalty shoot-out, and the girls were absolutely fantastic in tricky conditions against top opponents.
Some brilliant goals, real grit, and a never-say-die attitude from every single player. The effort was there for everyone to see!

It was a fantastic advert for football in the region – so many talented players and cracking teams that we have. If all the teams in our area are playing each other regularly in these league-style matches, it will hugely benefit every side and massively develop girls’ football across the region.

A big thank you to Keith for bringing his girls through. Soccerbees are an extremely talented side and always a pleasure to play against.

Thanks as always to our brilliant sponsors:
