Castle Donington Volunteer Centre Connecting the community in and around DE74. Registered Charity No. 1157707 Our minibuses are also available for hire, and range from 10-16 seats.

With the help of our incredible team of volunteer drivers, we provide transport services in North West Leicestershire, South Derbyshire, and parts of Nottinghamshire, including cars to doctor's and hospital appointments and weekly shopping buses for the elderly and disabled. We're always on the lookout for more volunteers, so if you want to become a driver, a passenger assistant, help out in the office or anything else, please get in touch!

Can you spare 3 to 4 hours ( mainly mornings) to drive one of our buses, helping the elderly get shopping, going to social and exercise clubs in the community.
Training and DBS paid for.

Yesterday we hosted a fantastic GrowCookShare Christmas Meal starting with carrot & coriander soup.
Full Turkey Dinner, and Christmas Pudding, followed by coffee, and chocolates and party bag gift to take home.
Singing and accordion playing by Hazel Salt and an appearance from Santa

We have been asked to share the attached posters for menopause groups in Castle Donington and Kegworth. The Castle Donington group meets on Wed 7 January 2026 and the Kegworth session is a brand new group, with the launch on Thursday 8th January, so please come along and find out more.

You don’t have to be a Castle Donington or Kegworth resident to attend either group, people are welcome from far and wide. Everyone is going to know somebody who could benefit from this support group so please share widely.
