Building on a partnership that makes a difference 💜

We are proud to continue our partnership with BT, building on a collaboration that began in 2023/24 and a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of female leaders across Northern Ireland.

Since joining the SistersIN network, BT colleagues have supported young women through mentoring, career insights and workplace experiences, helping participants build confidence, develop leadership skills and explore the opportunities available to them.

During the 2025/26 programme year, SistersIN worked with 60 schools, 756 young women and 727 mentors across Northern Ireland. Partnerships like this play an important role in making these opportunities possible and helping us reach even more young women.

We are particularly grateful to the BT colleagues who give their time to mentor our participants, sharing their experiences and showcasing the diverse career opportunities available across technology, digital and business.

The first of our Mentor Information Sessions took place last week, and it was great to meet so many women interested in finding out more about becoming a SistersIN Mentor!

Our final Mentor Information Session is taking place this Friday, 4 September at 12pm and is open to anyone who would like to learn more about SistersIN, what’s involved in mentoring and the impact you could have.

There’s no commitment to become a Mentor by attending, and this is not a formal training session. Training for confirmed Mentors will take place in October.

We are proud to continue our partnership with Fibrus for a fourth year, supporting young women across Northern Ireland to build confidence, develop leadership skills and explore their future ambitions.

Through the partnership, young women taking part in SistersIN have opportunities to connect with inspiring professionals, gain insight into the world of work and build valuable networks through mentoring.

Alongside this, our participants take their leadership into action by developing projects around issues they care about and creating positive change in their schools and communities.

Back to school? We’ve been busy all summer! ☀️💜

While schools have been on their summer break, the SistersIN team have been busy behind the scenes getting ready for another year of empowering young women.

🏉 We kicked off the summer by delivering three leadership modules with Ulster Rugby, working with their team on confidence, leadership and development.

🤝 We’ve been busy welcoming and working with new partners and continuing relationships with existing partners, building relationships that help us create even more opportunities for young women across Northern Ireland.

🎙️ Three of our mentees joined some members of our Board for a podcast with NI Chamber, sharing their experiences, perspectives and what they’ve learned through SistersIN.

📊 We also launched our latest Impact Report, celebrating the incredible difference our participants, mentors, schools and partners have made over the past year.

🌱 We’re also in the process of launching a new pilot across three new delivery settings, expanding the reach of SistersIN and exploring how our programme can support young women in different environments and communities.

📚 And, of course, we’ve been getting ready for the new programme year with Teacher Training and our upcoming Mentor Information Sessions.
Summer may be over, but we’re only getting started!

We’re proud to mark five years of partnership with Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer), whose continued support has helped create meaningful opportunities for young women across Northern Ireland.

Since 2022, colleagues from HSF Kramer have supported young women across Northern Ireland as mentors, sharing their experiences, providing insight into the legal profession and helping participants build the confidence and skills to take their next steps.

Long-term partnerships like this are so important. They give young women access to real-world experiences, inspiring role models and connections that can help them see new possibilities for their future.

The impact of this wider network continues to grow. In 2025/26, 727 mentors volunteered their time, while SistersIN participants delivered 480 leadership projects, contributing more than 9,000 hours of activity and positively impacting 17,700+ people across Northern Ireland.

A huge thank you to everyone at HSF Kramer who continues to give their time, expertise and support to the next generation of leaders. We’re proud to continue this partnership for another year.

We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Fieldfisher for a third year and to welcome them as a SistersIN Growth Partner.

After two successful years of supporting SistersIN, Fieldfisher is strengthening its commitment to creating opportunities for young women across Northern Ireland.

This year, more Fieldfisher colleagues will get involved as mentors, sharing their experiences, insights and networks with our participants and helping them explore new possibilities for their futures.

As a SistersIN Mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to share your experience, build a young woman’s confidence, support her ambitions and help her explore new opportunities.

We’re hosting two informal Mentor Information Sessions for anyone who would like to learn more about SistersIN, what’s involved in mentoring and the impact you could have - before deciding whether to sign up.

The sessions are an opportunity to:

Hear what being a Mentor is really like
Find out about the time commitment and what to expect
Ask questions and decide if mentoring is right for you

Breaking Down Our Impact | Part 3: Communities 💜

The impact of SistersIN doesn't end when the programme finishes. It ripples out into schools, communities and beyond.

As we conclude our Breaking Down Our Impact series, we're celebrating the difference our young women have made through their leadership projects.

This year, they:
• Delivered 494 leadership projects
• Contributed 9,060 volunteer hours
• Created an estimated £72,480 in social value Reached 17,755 people through projects that made a real difference

From STEM clubs and mental health initiatives to environmental campaigns and fundraising events, our participants identified issues they cared about and took action to create positive change.

When we invest in young women, the impact extends far beyond the individual. It strengthens communities, inspires others to lead and creates lasting change.

Because leadership creates a ripple effect. 💜
