I’m so pleased to share some fantastic news! A local business owner has stepped up to take on the mission of saving food from going to waste and will continue this important work at a new location.

Details will be shared once everything is finalised, but the great news is that Carrickfergus will still have a food provision available to its community!

Excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the continued support of our amazing community!

Carrickfergus Community Fridge Closure Announcement

After five wonderful years of serving our community and making a significant impact in reducing food waste, we announce the closure of Carrickfergus Community Fridge. Changes in volunteer commitments mean that we are no longer able to continue this initiative.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to all the volunteers, supporters, and community members who made this journey so meaningful. Your dedication and hard work have been truly inspiring, and together we’ve made a real difference.

Thank you for being part of this journey. While this door closes, let us continue to find ways to build and support one another.

Hi we are still operating for the community; but due to volunteer commitments/ holidays we haven’t been able to be as active as we would of liked.

Great news we are back in business and we are open tomorrow morning at 9am.
