What a cracking bench Sam Bowsher Chainsaw Carving !

Betty’s bench 🧡

A memorial bench, beautifully carved by Sam Bowsher, has been unveiled at Highland Wildlife Park’s Conservation Den to honour Betty Heath’s legacy to Saving Wildcats.

Betty truly loved nature, and wildcats held a special place in her heart. By generously including a gift in her Will to her ‘special friends’, her legacy continues to feed and care for the wildcat families in the conservation breeding for release centre, as well as protect them in the wild 🌄

Restoring wildcats to Scotland is a very long-term commitment and, like Betty, you can leave a gift in your Will to help secure a future for them ➡️ https://www.savingwildcats.org.uk/gifts-in-wills

Thank you ❤️

David Ritchie and Sons Limited are another long term sponsor since the event began in 2003 this is a cracking image of their early years.

With over 3000 visitors and various vendors we will generate a fair amount of waste Carve Carrbridge 2026
From a skip for the perennial favourite Crockery Smash to individual bins, Ritchies take our sawdust and everything else we no longer want and recycle it in their nearby depot.

Sponsorship in kind is a huge value to the event and this Community spirit is reflected by all the local businesses who support us 🙏

Whether you're a local or visiting the Highlands for the first time, there is something truly electric about the roar of chainsaws and the spirit of the village Carve Carrbridge 2026 ! 🌲🪚

We want to hear from YOU! With the sawdust flying and the party carrying on long after the logs are carved, everyone has a "best bit."

What is your absolute favorite thing about Carve Carrbridge? 👇

Is it the Main Event?
• The "Quick Carve" Madness: Watching the speed and skill as carvers whip up something amazing in mere minutes! 💨
• The People’s Choice: Having the power to vote for your favorite artist and seeing who takes home the trophy. 🗳️
• The Grand Auction: The adrenaline of bidding to take a piece of Highland art home for your own garden. 🔨

Is it the Village Vibes?
• The Local Stalls: Browsing the incredible talent of our local makers—from handcrafted jewelry and gin to home-baked treats and Highland crafts. 🧶🍯
• The Atmosphere: The sound of the pipe band, the smell of fresh pine, and that iconic vintage shuttle bus ride! 🎶🚌
