💵💵 2025/26 Budget 💵💵

Thank you very much to our treasurer, Fraser, for announcing the 4th Carluke 2025/26 Autumn budget. Our weekly subs have been frozen until at least next week 🤪

We are pleased with the £303 raised by last weeks quiz night 🤨❓

Also all of our boys will be able to attend either the Christmas panto🎄or Lazer Quest 🔫 (for our company and seniors) at no extra charge, we have been able to cover the cost from our weekly/monthly subs.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the quiz on Friday evening and who bought raffle tickets and donated raffle prizes.

Our Company & seniors and our Juniors were stargazing tonight and had the opportunity to see both Saturn and Jupiters along with her 4 Galilean moons through the lenses of a telescope tonight. We had a lovely clear night for it with plenty of stars visible. There is a possibility that we will have all defrosted at some point tonight.

A massive thank you to Daniel from the Clydesdale Astronomical society for coming along and teaching the boys about the Universe!

We would like to take the opportunity to thank Wishaw and District Brigade Band for visiting our Junior Section and doing a music workshop. The Boys were able to try out all the instruments that the band have to offer. The band practices on a Sunday night in Wishaw (Currently Wishaw Old Parish Church) and offers free tuition and free instrument loans.

The Band serves an important part in both the history of the company and its future. Previously called 2nd Wishaw / 4th Carluke Boys' Brigade Band. We are pleased to have such a strong representation with 8 of our members being part of the band!

If you would like to hear the band, then their next concert will be in Kirkton Church on Sunday, 7th December 2025.

Now that Winter is upon us, let's have a look back at what autumn had in store at 4th Carluke. Starting off with Friday 24th of October 2025 when we hosted our second “Big Night In” - a whole-Company event for members to come together for fun and games. We were delighted to be joined by Carluke Community Fire Station. Boys had the opportunity to learn about the important work these organisations do and use some of the equipment, so a massive thank you for playing a part in making our night extra special!

Later, we were visited by BBUK VP Alison Chambers for our evening devotionals. From there, our Company and Seniors settled in for an all-nighter with cooking, games and films through to sunrise the next morning. Lesley Ewing joined us just in time for breakfast!

The aim of the Big Night In is to allow our Boys of all ages to meet one another and to encourage all our members, while learning important lessons and having fun.

Thanks also to our friends at 3rd Carluke Scouts for generously allowing us the use of the buildings on their night.

As always, there is lots of space for new members in all our Sections, and if you would like to join or volunteer your time, then please get in touch!
