What We Have at 3rd Carluke

This is a little information for anyone interested in joining us at 3rd Carluke Boys Brigade or maybe you are already a member, parent or friend looking for information.

We are a Boys Brigade knows as 3rd Carluke Boys Brigade which runs between September and May, during this time we meet up each week on Fridays generally between 6pm and 8:45pm and we get together within St Johns Church, Carluke. Boys Brigade has something for every individual, members make friends, develop skills and build confidence through a range of fun activities.

Our Boys Brigade Company is made up of and split into age group sections which allows boys to join when they begin primary one at school, as well as encouraging and being able to welcome older boys of any age until 18 years old. We believe empowering children and young people is important and the Objective of the Boys Brigade is the advancement of Christ's kingdom amongst boys, the promotion of the habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.

There are 4 Company Sections, the 1st is Anchor Section for boys between ages 5 - 8. Next is the Junior Section for boys between 8 - 11. Then Company Section for boys between 11 - 15. Lastly there is the Seniors who are 15 - 18 years old. Each Section has trained and disclosure checked Officers who share their time, skills, passion and faith in rolls that support our boys in a variety of fun and interesting activities that earn awards and badges while developing new skills.
