St Margaret Mary's Ladies Group had a very interesting speaker this week. Debbie Armstrong and her son Chris talked to us about Addison's Disease a little known lifetime and life threatening disease. Debbie has 3 sons, Chris, Kane and lee, sadly one of Debbie's three sons Lee had Addison's and passed away with this disease.
As promised I am putting this out there to make people aware and if it helps even one person it has done it's job.
Addison's disease is a rare endocrine disorder characterized by insufficient production of the hormones cortisol and aldosterone by the adrenal glands, leading to various symptoms and requiring lifelong treatment.
