FOUND IN THE HORNSBY AREA

A pale ginger female cat has been handed in to Capontree Vets in Brampton.

She is adult but very small.

If only she was microchipped we could easily reunite her with her family.

If this is yr cat or you know who it may belong to pls contact the vets directly.

We had hoped that we'd found Little Stuart a new mum but unfortunately it fell thru...nothing to do with the little man himself - so we're asking again can anyone give him a loving home?

**********

Back in July of this year a wee black and white cat turned up in a garden near Lochmaben.

He was happy to accept food from the home owner but there was no chance of a cuddle.

Cats Protection trapped this little fella and unfortunately he wasn't chipped and despite advertising him on our site no one claimed him. He was neutered, chipped and returned to the garden.

Fast forward to today and Little Stuart - as he's now called - accepts cuddles, being picked up and loves fuss and attention. All thanks to the lovely lady who has really looked after him and shown him love.

Unfortunately the garden he has "adopted" will be sold soon. The lady who has patiently brought him round to be the gorgeous cat he now is already has another cat who won't accept Stuart.

We are looking for someone with a good sized garden where he can enjoy his outdoor time but this wee man needs a warm hearth and a home he can relax in. It is clear he enjoys human companionship.

Can you help us find Little Stuart a proper home before winter sets in?

Please contact Hazel (one of our volunteers) on 07815 824896.

Comel and Rhum continue to enjoy their new forever home together which contains an unusual new playmate as well as the humans – a dog!

Comel – being a little bit bolder than his brother - took the lead and approached the woolly stranger, who turned out to be very friendly. New besties 💓

Tigger & Tilly are two sisters aged 7 years old who get along wonderfully with each other.

They are both incredibly loving cats who adore being petted, making biscuits, cozying up in a warm home, and having plenty of beds and toys to enjoy.

Both are spayed. They only eat wet food and love treats. Dry food does not agree with them.

Tigger has striking yellow eyes and medium/long hair so it's important time is made for brushing. She is very friendly, social, and eager for affection from anyone who pays attention to her.

Tigger loves the outdoors and is an active mouser (hunts, but does not eat them!)

Tilly has beautiful green eyes, is extremely tidy, clean, and meticulous about her fur. She is reserved and timid at first; takes a little time to build trust with new people.

Tilly is definitely an indoor cat. If an outside door is left open, she may curiously wander out briefly, but will come flying right back inside.

These girls must obviously be rehomed together and are only being rehomed due to children having an allergic reaction to their fur.

They must be the only cats in the household as Tigger isnt keen on other cats...apart from Tilly!

If you could offer Tilly and Tigger a new home please contact Marta who is their owner on 07570 299335 who can give you further info.

We cannot say thank you enough to Stuart King, a Clinical Nurse Leader at Trinity Lodge in Lockerbie for his email.

He explained that part of his remit is to facilitate their not-for profit, Social Enterprise Café, ‘Hartnell’s’.

They recently held a charity lunch where all diners were asked to nominate a charity for the main fund raising draw.

Eskdale & District Cats Protection was nominated and successfully drawn.

As a result, 'Hartnells' have made a wonderful donation of £400 to us and that will help us greatly in our ongoing care and protection of cats and kittens in our area.

Thank you again and a big head rub and purr from our feline friends too! 🐈 ❤️

Many thanks

Ferdinand is a beautiful cat who has truly blossomed since he came into our care.
He needs to be an indoor cat and also an "only child".
We've had no interest in him whatsoever which is a crying shame as he's desperate for company and loves to play.
