HAPPY COMING OUT DAY! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

What better way to celebrate than with the fantastic Stevie D 🎤 at our LGBTea 🥳

📍 Where: Morton Manor, Carlisle
🕐 When: 1pm – 3:30pm (today)
🎟️ Tickets: Completely FREE!

We’ll have nibbles provided, the Morton Manor bar will be open selling drinks, and the fabulous Stevie D will be there to keep us all entertained ✨

National Coming Out Day is a chance to celebrate LGBT+ people, honour the courage it can take to live authentically, and remind everyone that coming out is a personal journey. There is no right time, no one way, and no pressure to come out before you’re ready.

Whether you’re out, questioning, still figuring things out, or an ally, you are welcome here 🫶

Today, we recognise World Mental Health Day and remind everyone that mental health matters, and so does being yourself. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

For many people in the LGBT+ community, the journey towards self-acceptance, coming out, finding belonging, or simply feeling safe enough to be who they are can come with unique challenges.

No one should ever have to hide who they are to feel accepted. No one should feel alone because of who they love, how they identify, or how they express themselves. And everyone deserves to feel heard, valued and supported. 🫶

It was incredibly kind to get these as a thank you for all our hard work, thank you so much! 😊

It’s Carlisle Cathedral Farmers’ and Makers’ Market tomorrow, with lots of amazing stalls including us, plus live music performed within the grounds. And don’t forget the museum of the moon is also inside Carlisle Cathedral this month.

You’ll find us in the Undercroft, 10am-3pm, where we’ll be decorating star keyrings to celebrate ⭐️
