National Volunteer week will come to an end tomorrow. BUT, we will continue to celebrate all our volunteers past and present on a daily basis!
Without our volunteers we would not exist…as simple as that! And I can’t thank you all enough.

On Thursday afternoon we held a little volunteer social, so that everyone could come together and enjoy each others company.

Have you ever joined our Friday morning craft group? If so, you will have met this fab bunch. Between them, they organise and run all the activities each week. From origami, to clay, to Christmas decorations. Such a talented bunch. But don’t worry about your skill level, they are also very patient and willing to help.

Friday morning crew includes Micheal, Chris and Davey (among others who aren’t in today!) All big characters in our Cornerstone family.
Chris also volunteers opening and closing the cafe EVERY Saturday. For which we are truly grateful.

OpShop team were mostly too shy for photos, but meet Jo who’s relatively new to volunteering with us. Like a lot of our team, she started as a customer and soon became another invaluable part of the team.

Thursday morning is Renew. Our wellbeing café. The volunteers who facilitate Renew are dedicated to providing a calm and relaxed atmosphere, where “It’s OK not to be OK”. They truly are a special bunch.

We also have another incredible team over in the OpShop. Some of that team are Liz, who will greet you as you enter the shop, Morgan will turn his hand to just about anything and Yvonne works wonders sorting through donations. They all work incredibly hard and we can’t thank you enough 🥇🌟

Over in OpShop this afternoon we have Jane and Sona. Jane is the cheerful face behind the counter most Wednesday afternoons and Sona works at lightning speed sorting through donations.

**Another day of Volunteer Week, so yes, you guessed it, another appreciation post!**

Meet Jan and Becky, our super smiley Wednesday morning team. Both have played a crucial part in helping us facilitate our free breakfast club. Becky also provides invaluable support serving on our shops board.
