Heathlands We provide the widest selection of supported daytime opportunities in Cumbria.

The Laurie Brewis Trust is a charity that works with vulnerable and hard to reach groups in and around Carlisle. With trained and experienced staff, LBT enables people to achieve their potential, whatever their disability, through individual development plans that are prepared with the individual at the project. By working closely within the community, LBT supports individuals to make positive dec

isions about their lives that can lead to further education, training and employment, as well as having a major impact on their personal lives. LBT offers a varied programme of activities including literacy and numeracy, life skills, catering, arts, crafts and textiles, drama, music, IT, filmmaking, music editing, photography, outdoor pursuits and healthy living programmes. Alongside these we offer the opportunity to undertake national qualifications and accreditation's. Groups of service users and staff recently visited other social enterprises and charities in Portugal, Romania and Slovakia to see and understand how they operate.

This week, Brian brought in some tissue paper art to share with staff and show us how to make it.

Brian enjoyed teaching his tissue paper art techniques and showing how to use them to create a beautiful card. It was lovely to see him sharing his skills and creativity with others. 💙✨
