SGROLIWCH I WELD Y GYMRAEG
You are invited to attend a local screening of the People's Emergency Briefing film on the threats to everyday life in Wales and the UK from ongoing damage to nature and to our climate. On Friday 26th June - Doors open at 6.30pm for a prompt start at 7pm
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL AS SPACE IS LIMITED BUT TICKETS ARE FREE. Book here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/peoplesemergencybriefingcaerfyrddin/2233496
Location: Small World Theatre, Bath-house Road, Cardigan, SA43 1JY (next door to Theatr Mwldan)
With: Ben Lake MP and Jane Davidson (former Welsh Government minister for environment, sustainability and housing who inspired and led the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and the Wales Net Zero 2035 project)
The film features footage from last November's National Emergency Briefing (www.nebriefing.org), which brought together leading UK experts in climate science, food security, health, economics, national security and nature.
It presents a clear, measured overview of how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life throughout Britain - and what the evidence says about risks and responses. The initiative is explicitly non-partisan.
An open discussion after the film will be led by Jane Davidson. The discussion will focus on what positive changes we can create to build resilience in our communities, hopefully helping those attending to feel empowered.
As a local organisation, we hope that the film and the discussion will be of interest to your members. We want to reach as many people as possible, from various sectors and areas so that everyone has the opportunity to participate in an open dialogue, based on evidence on an issue that affects everyone in every area and sector.
