Childline volunteers in Cardiff recently came together to reflect on 40 years of Childline and what volunteering means to them.
What shone through in their reflections was the incredible sense of community, care and support they provide, not only for the children and young people they are there to listen to, but also for one another.

A new bilingual storybook, Techosaurus Saves the School, is now being delivered to schools and libraries across Wales with support from Welsh Government and publishers Sweet Cherry, to help younger children develop the knowledge, confidence and positive habits that will help them stay safe online.

The book follows Techosaurus on an exciting adventure to defeat a group of troublesome "online dinobots". Along the way, learners are introduced to four key messages: Play, Protect, Ask and Say. These include advice on how to play and be kind online; protect your personal information; to ask before you try something new online; and to say if anything has made you feel upset.

Mae llyfr dwyieithog newydd, Techosorws yn Achub yr Ysgol! yn cael ei ddanfon i ysgolion ac i lyfrgelloedd o Fôn i Fynwy, gyda chymorth gan Lywodraeth Cymru a’r cyhoeddwyr Sweet Cherry, er mwyn helpu eich plant ieuengaf i ddatblygu’r wybodaeth, yr hyder a’r arferion cadarnhaol a fydd yn eu helpu i aros yn ddiogel ar-lein.

Mae'r llyfr yn dilyn Techosorws ar antur gyffrous i drechu grŵp o "dinobotiaid ar-lein" trafferthus. Ar hyd y ffordd, cyflwynir dysgwyr i bedair neges allweddol: Chwarae, Amddiffyn, Gofyn a Dweud. Mae'r rhain yn cynnwys cyngor ar sut i chwarae a bod yn garedig ar-lein; diogelu eich gwybodaeth bersonol; gofyn cyn i chi roi cynnig ar rywbeth newydd ar-lein; a dweud os oes unrhyw beth wedi gwneud i chi boeni.

What an Eisteddfod so far!🤩

It's been a fantastic week for us with a jam-packed stall and the glitter tattoos have been a massive hit, and visitors are walking away with enough freebies to fill a trolley!

Yesterday kicked off with a great chat with Plaid Cymru leader and First Minister of Wales, Rhun ap lorweth to discuss our vital work in Wales.
Then, early afternoon saw the official launch of our new bilingual book Techosaurus Saves the School produced in partnership with the Welsh Government. 🦖

We were also delighted to have a visit from Minister for Education, Anna Brychan and Sera Evans MS and Kiera Marshall MS. To top it off, Lisa Angharad did a fantastic reading of the book-it was packed with belly laughs and the kids absolutely loved it!🫶🏻

Mae wedi bod yn wythnos ffantastig i ni gyda llwyth o weithgareddau ar y stondin-mae'r tatŵs gliter yn boblogaidd awn, ac mae gan ein hymwelwyr ddigon o freebies i lenwi trol!

Cafodd y llyfr ei lansio'n swyddogol drwy
ein partneriaeth gyda Llywodraeth Cymru, ac
roeddwn yn Iwcus iawn i groesawu'r Gweinidog dros Addysg, Anna Brychan, a Sera Evans AS a Kiera Marshall AS am ymweliad.
Cawsom hefyd Lisa Angharad i ddarllen y llyfr fel
rhan o'r lansiad—ac am darlleniad gwych! Roedd y plant wrth eu boddau ac yn chwerthin llond ei boliau! 🫶🏻
