South Wales Victim Focus We are a local service run by the national and independent charity Victim Support. We are funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales.

We are not part of the police, the courts or any other criminal justice agency. Our services are free, confidential and available whether or not the crime has been repor

ted and regardless of when it happened. Whether you have been directly affected by crime, know someone who has or have witnessed something, we are here for you. Our specially trained staff and volunteers are based locally and can offer you immediate and long term help and support to enable you to cope and recover from the effects of crime. We understand that everyone’s experience is different. You may be feeling a range of emotions, you may have unanswered questions or you may feel confused about what happens next. We will work with you to understand how best we can help and we will be there for you as long as you need us.

Advice often given to victims of stalking by police, family and friends is to block contact. While this is well meaning, it can make the problem worse for many cases.
Here's why we say DON'T BLOCK 👇

👉Blocking a stalker may escalate behaviours. Increasing the risk of them trying to seek a victim out in person

👉Communication can be used as evidence in a police investigation

👉 Victims often advise they feel better prepared and able to manage risk knowing what their stalker is doing and where they may be
