This Youth Work Week, we’re celebrating the power of partnership.

Youth work is at its best when organisations work together, share knowledge and put young people at the centre of every decision. Our partnership with Vale Youth Service is a brilliant example of that in action.

Through close collaboration, shared values and a genuine commitment to young people, we have been able to strengthen the support available across Cardiff and the Vale, helping young people to access safe spaces, trusted adults, meaningful opportunities and the right support when they need it.

We were incredibly proud to see this partnership recognised as Partnership of the Year, but the real success is the difference this work makes for young people.

A huge thank you to Vale Youth Service and to everyone involved in making this partnership so positive, practical and impactful.

This Youth Work Week, we are proud to celebrate the organisations, youth workers and young people who show what can be achieved when we work together 💙

This Youth Work Week, we’re shining a light on our Young Carers work and the incredible young people supported through our Young Carers Project.

In this video, Faye shares more about the project and the support we provide to young carers across Cardiff and the Vale.

Young carers often take on responsibilities that many people never see. Our role is to make sure they have space for themselves, trusted adults to turn to, opportunities to build confidence, and access to support that recognises their own needs as children and young people.

Through one to one support, life skills, respite opportunities, group activities and close partnership working with other services, our Young Carers team helps young people feel understood, connected and less alone.

Youth work makes a real difference because it meets young people where they are. It gives them time, consistency, encouragement and a safe space to be themselves.

Our specialist youth projects rely completely on funding and donations; every donation helps us continue this vital work across our communities.
