💚 Looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference to young people?

We’re recruiting a C Card Project Co Ordinator to join our Healthy Relationships Team, and there is a lot to get excited about with this opportunity.

This is a role where you can take real ownership of your work. You’ll help develop and coordinate the C Card Scheme across the Vale of Glamorgan, working directly with young people and alongside local partners to improve access to trusted information, advice and support around relationships and sexual health.

Most importantly, you’ll be doing work that matters. You’ll have the opportunity to build trusted relationships with young people, including those who may be vulnerable or at risk, and help them feel informed, supported and empowered to make positive choices.

And there are some great practical reasons to join us too:

💚 Salary of £29,620.50

💚 Full time, 37.5 hours per week

💚 Fixed term until 31 March 2028

💚 Option to join our four day working week model following successful completion of probation

💚 Enhanced annual leave

🏠 Homelessness can happen to anyone. Nobody should ever have to face it.

Today, on World Homelessness Day, we are reminded that behind every experience of homelessness is a person. A person with hopes, ambitions, relationships and a story that deserves to be heard.

Homelessness is not a choice. It can be the result of relationship breakdowns, bereavement, domestic abuse, financial hardship, poor mental health, discrimination or circumstances entirely beyond someone's control.

The reality is that any one of us could find ourselves facing homelessness. And nobody should be judged, stigmatised or defined by their circumstances.

💚 At YMCA Cardiff, we believe everyone deserves somewhere safe to call home, to be treated with dignity and to have the opportunity to build a brighter future.

Our video shares the voices and experiences of people who know first hand what it means to face homelessness, and the difference that compassion, understanding and the right support can make.

But the injustice of homelessness remains. Having a safe place to sleep should never be a privilege, and the circumstances that lead someone into homelessness should never determine their worth or their future.

This World Homelessness Day, we're asking you to look beyond the stereotypes, listen without judgement and stand alongside those experiencing homelessness.

🏢 We’re hiring: Estates & Facilities Manager

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Estates & Facilities Manager to join YMCA Cardiff and lead the estates function across our managed properties.

This is an important role within our organisation, with responsibility for ensuring our buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose. You’ll lead our domestic and maintenance teams, oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage contractors and help ensure we continue to meet our statutory and landlord responsibilities.

You’ll also play a key role in planning for the future, supporting our Asset Management Strategy, maintaining high standards across our sites and identifying opportunities to improve our buildings and facilities.

Most importantly, your work will help ensure that the environments in which we deliver our housing, youth and community services are safe, welcoming and able to support the people who rely on them.

Not only that, but after completion of a probationary period, you will have the option to join our 100-80-100 model which means you only work 80% of your contracted for exactly the same salary!

If you have strong estates and facilities management experience, excellent leadership skills and want to use your expertise within an organisation committed to making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re delighted to share that YMCA Cardiff has achieved Cyber Essentials accreditation, an important milestone that reflects our continued commitment to keeping our systems, information and people safe.

Cyber Essentials helps organisations protect themselves against some of the most common cyber threats, including phishing, malware and unauthorised access. Achieving the accreditation demonstrates that we have robust systems and processes in place to protect our IT infrastructure and provides additional reassurance to our staff, partners and the people who use our services.

Cyber security never stands still, so neither will we. Over the coming months we’ll continue strengthening our systems, including the introduction of multi factor authentication across the organisation.

It’s another important step in ensuring YMCA Cardiff remains a secure, responsible and trusted organisation. 💻🔒
