🎉 This week’s is Martin who took on the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday! 🎉

Martin, who attends Cardiff Grangetown Salvation Army, decided to fundraise for his local community while taking on this incredible challenge. Despite only deciding to fundraise at the last minute, he raised an amazing £800+ in just one day! 🤩👏 What a champion! ❤️

💛 How will Martin’s fundraising help?

Grangetown Salvation Army provides a range of vital local services, including:
☕ Coffee mornings
👶 Parent & toddler groups
🤝 Friendship Circle
🥫 Food Co-Op
📚 English lessons
🎨 Craft classes

These activities bring people together, helping to tackle loneliness and isolation by providing opportunities for friendship, connection and support.

Martin’s incredible efforts will help keep these services running for the people who need them most ❤️

Thank you, Martin, and a massive well done on an amazing achievement! 🏅👏

At the start of a new week, Jesus reminds us where our strength comes from. Just as branches cannot bear fruit apart from the vine, we flourish when we remain connected to Him. - What helps you stay connected to Jesus during busy weeks?

This week, The Salvation Army United Kingdom and Ireland Territory will be welcoming a new cohort of cadets – known as a session – Wales is proud to have Cadets Mary and Craig Walsh (Wrexham Salvation Army) as part of the 'Redeemed' session, hold them and their family in prayer, along with all the Salvation Army cadets across the United Kingdom and Ireland Territory.

The Salvation Army is a church, and our ministers, known as officers, dedicate their lives to serving God and others.

Before being ordained and commissioned, Salvation Army officers train as cadets. This is a time of study, mentoring and hands-on experience, equipping them for a lifetime of faith and service that can include leading local churches and community projects for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

This week, we're welcoming a new cohort of cadets – known as a session – as they begin this important journey. Join us in praying for Salvation Army cadets across the United Kingdom and Ireland Territory. 🙏
