This is the official page for Cardiff University Tamil Society. Like us to stay updated with our events. It is a society for anyone and everyone.

Tamil society is a society which provides an opportunity for Tamil students from Cardiff University to meet up with each other and share their culture. However, this society is not only aimed at Tamil students. The main aim of the Tamil society is to show and let people experience the Tamil culture in a fun and dynamic manner; allowing them to relax from daily worries and work and making them enjo

y themselves. Tamil is not just a language spoken in one country, but it is spoken in four countries ie Sri lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and India and is one of the national languages in the former three countries. Therefore Tamil society will be giving its members a chance to experience wide range of cultures from different countries. We will be hosting events such as movie nights, special festival dinners and socials. For those who love outdoor activities, we are planning to do things like hiking and trekking. That's not everything; we also give our members the opportunity to participate in big Tamil programs and competitions such as Kings of Gaana, and also plan to join with other societies. Not just that, but Tamil society also aims to help charities here in the UK and abroad, by involving our members and general public in fun fundraising events.
