Next Thursday at Ardour

Belly dancing with Sophie, 15 October, 7–8pm.

Ardour is a place to come as you are. A community space in the middle of Cardiff where people move, make and spend time together, whoever they are and whatever their experience.

This class is part of that. Rhythm, hips and play, with no need to be perfect. Come for the movement. Stay because the room feels like yours.

£10 drop in. Barefoot, socks or shoes all welcome.

Sounds like an a lovely project beginning with Rubicon Dance, bringing dance into the community.

It is always great to see projects like this. Making things more accessible and available, and always nice to see more groups and organisations pushing these initiatives forward.

We did it! Roots & Threads is funded!

We are overjoyed to share that Ardour Academy has been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund through their People and Places programme and we can't wait to get started.

Roots & Threads will bring together environmental action, creative practice, and genuine community connection right here in Cardiff. Nature-based sessions in care homes, upcycling workshops, ecological walks, BSL courses, community growing, and so much more; and built with our community from the ground up.

This project belongs to every person who spoke to us, filled in a survey, told us what they needed, and trusted us to listen. Thank you.

A huge thank you to TNL Community Fund for believing in this work and in the communities at its heart.

Rydym wrth ein bodd i rannu bod Academi Ardour wedi ennill cyllid gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol drwy eu rhaglen Pobl a Lleoedd. Edrychwn ymlaen yn arw i gychwyn.

Bydd Roots & Threads yn plethu gweithrediad amgylcheddol, arfer creadigol a chysylltiadau cymunedol yma yng Nghaerdydd. Sesiynau byd natur mewn cartrefi gofal, gweithdai uwchgylchu, teithiau cerdded ecolegol, cyrsiau BSL, tyfu cymunedol, a chymaint mwy - oll wedi'u datblygu gyda'n cymuned.

Pob sgwrs, pob arolwg, pob angen a rannwyd - fe wrandawon ni, a gyda’ch help chi fe dyfodd y prosiect yma. Diolch.

Next Butterfly Soup session coming up next week.

Mark making through action drawing

Join Anna in exploring process driven marks, shifting away from the focus of a final image towards the psychological and physical process of creation.
Expect large paper and a bit of mess!

Butterfly Soup is a creative space for the Deaf and LGBTQ+ community and allies. We move, make and connect in a session that is BSL accessible, welcoming and open to all.

No need to have come before. Donation based thanks to Arts Council of Wales.
