Hi Everyone, everything has now been completed with this latest borehole. It is finished and there is water...yeh! Routine maintenance will be an ongoing thing but I will take care of that but otherwise it is done! So, once again a huge thank you. Hopefully more updates as time goes by. By the way, I had some updated photos to post but had to reinstall my Whatsapp app, where I had received them, and lost the pictures as a result. I've asked for them to be sent again so as soon I get them I'll post them up. Best wishes to you all.

Hello everyone, thank you for your patience waiting for my update. It seems there were a few difficulties getting the parts to complete the well project. I am happy to say the parts have all arrived and have been delivered and the project is all but finished. Indeed, tomorrow should see it all completed and I will then post a final update. For now included are some photos of the various parts arriving. Well done to you all. Perhaps in a few months I will be able to post a further update to show how the well has affected the community... we'll see. Thank you once again, I am really grateful for all your support.

Great news everyone! The work has started on the constuction of the borehole (well). The drilling needed to go deeper than expected to hit water but at 60-70 metres they reached water. All the drilling and casing - that's where the pipes down to the water are installed - was completed so these coming days should see the completion of the whole project i.e. pump, solar panels and whatever else is still needed to finish up. This project will be transformative for at least one community and having been there and seen their situation I can assure you it is going to make a huge difference.
Thank you again for all your support. The work isn't finished yet but at least I am happy to report the work done so far. The cost so far has been $1840 and hopefully the balance of $1660 (our goal which we reached was $3500) will see the project completed and if there is any remaining money it will be used for maintenance of the borehole. As has happened before unexpected costs could arrive but I don't anticipate that happening this time but even if it does I have some extra funds I can use to cover any unnexpected costs. However, as I said, I am not expecting anything so just to conclude this short report... thank you so much.

Well we did it... thank you so much everyone for your great support. The next step now is to organise with our colleagues and friends in Zimbabwe to finalise the plans to construct the well and hen get to it. Hopefully I will be able to report back before too long and show how the whole project has been. Thank you once again for all your great support. 🙂🌻

Great news everyone, it seems we have now reached our goal for the well project. There is a great feeling always when we set out to accomplish a goal and actually achieve it. This, of course, was only possible through all your generous help.Tomorrow I will update the details on this FB page and start the process for the construction of the well. Thank you so very much to all who have contributed or even supported with your prayers and good wishes. Everything has been encouraging and helpful and I am very grateful as I know the beneficiaries will be also. May you all be blessed.

Well I asked for people to click on the "like" button but there doesn't seem to be one. Even worse, I don't know how to add one. I've looked at Youtube instructions i.e. clicking the 3 dots on the menu line and edit the action button but guess what... there is no option to add a like button. 🙁 Ah well! Have a great day.

Hi Everyone, here is an update on our fundraising plans for the well project in Zimbabwe.

First of all thank you so much for your contributions whether directly to me or through our Gofundme Help Me Build A Well page. You will see that I have reduced the goal since I was given a new estimate so I'm really happy with that as it means we will be able to construct the well as planned and probably a bit sooner. My goal is still to raise all the money before the end of summer and have the well built at the latest by autumn.

Contributions have been coming in steadily, sometimes directly to myself or into the Gofundme Help me build a well page and, as you can see from the graph, we are now well into the finishing straight.

Once again, thank you so much but please do tell your friends about this campaign as we are not there yet and it's often the last stretch of anything that can be the most challenging.
