Founded in 1957​​​​, upon the closure of the Barry golf club . Membership is open to men and women over the age of 18 with a w.h.i.

The Leys Golf Society is looking to add new members to their golf society in South Wales. We currently number 35 but are looking to increase the numbers to around 55.

The Society has at least 4 golf meetings a year. We play for the Buchanan Goblet in May. In June we have a Captain's day when we play for the Hughes Cup. Normally this is held at the club where the Society's Captain plays, except if the Captain is a Cardiff member then we normally play at another course of the Captain's choosing. We also have the Stewart cup to play for. Our final meeting is at Cardiff in September when we play for the Pugsley Cup, which is then followed by the AGM.
So 4 meetings during the summer season, ideal for a young person with family commitments or someone who is a casual golfer looking for some extra days out with a friendly welcoming bunch.
