While our VC is feeling sorry for herself in complete contempt for the many staff she put at risk of redundancy for months now, UCU and the other unions (Unite and Unison) are fighting against rushed and ill-thought plans with strong consequences for the institution, its staff and its students.
Our ballot for industrial action on the issues caused by these plans closes in 2 days. This is your last opportunity to engage in this important democratic process of your union to beat the anti-trade union laws which require a 50% turnout for the ballot to be valid - if you are not in favour of strike action, it is still important that you vote.
