The Merched y Môr rowing team have handed over a huge £18,000 donation to Action for Children Cymru following their successful crossing of the Atlantic Ocean 🚣‍♀️🌊 The group paid a special visit to a horse-riding session to meet some of the young people and families who will benefit from the funds raised. Every mile rowed across the water was powered by the thought of helping others, and this money will support children facing poverty, disability, and mental health challenges. It is a fantastic achievement that will make a real difference to lives across the country 🐎✨

Huge congratulations to our Action for Children Skills Plus+ services who won the Best Wellbeing Service at Friday's Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards Wales 2026, recognising their relationship-led, trauma-informed approach to supporting care-experienced young people. We're also celebrating our Bouncing Back mental health programme with Ospreys in the Community for being nominated for Best Mental Health Support Service and shortlisted in a field of 250! Well done to these two fantastic teams.

Great to see Andrew Ranger MP talking about joining the Action for Children panel at the Labour Party Conference and his recent visit to our Skills Plus service in Wrexham. The panel explored how government, employers, practitioners and communities can better support young people facing the greatest barriers to education, employment and social participation.
