Splott Repair Cafe – We fix almost anything for free!

In the old Splott Methodist Church Hall at the rear of the Oasis Centre on Burnaby Street.

Bring along your broken or damaged item and our volunteer repairers will try to fix it, for free. You can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and chat to your fellow Cardiffian neighbours while you wait. We’ll even show you how it is done too if you like! The best way to reuse and recycle there is.

Typical repairs include; basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair, and woodworking; though we will have a look at most things, except microwaves as they are too dangerous.

Got any questions? Just drop us a message and we will do our best to ensure a repairer is available to fix your item.

More volunteers are always welcome – come along even if it is just to find out what is going on, and tell your friends! See you there.

It’s time to get your quiz on!

Join us at Splott Community Volunteers for a fun-filled Fundraising Quiz Night on Friday 10th of April. Bring your friends, form a team (up to six people), and put your general knowledge to the test in a relaxed and friendly evening.

Doors open at 6pm, quiz starts at 7pm
£5 per person (food included)
Prizes for the top three teams
Mega raffle with great goodies
BYOB, so make a night of it

One of the many benefits of Men's Sheds being set up as member led charities is for men to experience democracy and challenge this type of male behaviour we see in politics, the work place and sometimes in Sheds.
