If you have been thinking about joining an LGBTQIA+ choir, this is a great time to come down and give it a go!

There is no audition and you don't have to have previous choral experience.

From Shirley Bassey to Chappell Roan, Songbirds Choir presents a concert featuring (bi)conic songs from across the decades.
We will be performing in The Seligman Theatre, at Chapter Arts Centre.
Songbirds is a community choir based in Cardiff, for LGBTQIA+ women, trans and nonbinary people.
The concert will also feature the Cardiff Trans Singers, South Wales Gay Men's Chorus and Thrusted.
We will also be raising money for Trans Aid Cymru, a mutual aid group that supports trans and non-binary throughout Wales. A third of our tickets will include a £2 donation to Trans Aid Cymru, but you can also choose to make a donation of any amount when purchasing your ticket at any price.

Trans Awareness Week culminates on 20th November every year with Trans Day of Remembrance, a somber reminder that too many trans lives have been lost (and still are, every day). Today we stand in solidarity with the trans community and remember those both here and around the world whose lives have been lost due to transphobia and hate.

We value our trans members and aim for our community to be a safe, supportive place for every member.

We’re off to Brussels! Very excited to announce that Songbirds Choir will be heading off to Brussels for Various Voices Choir Festival, the European LGBTQI+ choir festival in 2026. We’re looking forward to meeting so many other choirs from all over Europe (and some from further afield!) for 5 whole days of music and q***r joy!

Such a fantastic 3 days in the heart of Bristol sharing music and community with 43 LGBTQ+ choirs from all around the UK & Ireland. Over 1400 people coming together to share in q***r joy and song 🎶 Bring on Blackpool 2027!

Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb daeth allan ddoe i weld ni’n perfformio yn yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru gyda Chôr Meibion Hoyw De Cymru a Chantorion Traws Caerdydd! Nesaf: gŵyl Hand in Hand, 16eg-18fed Awst ym Mryste!

Happy Pride! We had such a fab time performing yesterday at The Big Q***r Picnic, sharing the stage with some amazing Cardiff q***r artists (in particular Cardiff Trans Singers whom we shared our set with!), and having a gay old time picnicking with our q***r community here in Cardiff!
