We’re proud to stand alongside Just Fair UK and the 76 organisations across the UK in signing a joint letter marking 50 years since the UK ratified the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. These rights, to housing, food, healthcare, education, decent work, and social security, are the foundations people should be able to rely on to live well. Yet too many are still denied them. This campaign is about turning long-standing commitments into reality.

"Mae Heddwch yn siarad pob iaith”: Neges | "Peace speaks every Language": Wales’ 2026 Youth Message of Peace & Goodwill

For over a century since 1922, young people of Wales have created a Peace and Goodwill Message, sharing it with young people across the world; inspiring humanitarian action and building positive international connections. For 2026, the Urdd’s Message of Peace and Goodwill focuses on Minority Languages. Watch the video:

The 2026 message is available in 74 languages (so far), and is accompanied by an Education pack + presentation for schools and youth groups.

The Hiroshima - ICAN Academy on nuclear weapons and global security applications are opening! This is unique opportunity for young people to learn more about everything nuclear weapons in the only country attaked with nuclear weapons in war, Japan.

As our world continues to change rapidly, divides are growing in myriad aspects of society, from the global to the personal. Countries break from longstanding allies, international agreements are discarded, and digital algorithms further tribalism. Borders between states, between “us” and “them,” between humanity and technology are being redrawn. These divides are more than apparent in the field of nuclear weapons and global security. And, with 80 years now lying between us and the dawn of the nuclear age, we may feel increasingly distanced from our own nuclear history too.
