Become a local 'foodraiser' this June and join our Great Summer Street Collection, to help stock our warehouse so we can continue supporting families in crisis.

During the summer our donations fall and our food bank stocks are at their lowest. This is why, this June, we need your support and why we’re asking people across Cardiff to come together - house by house, street by street - to help collect food and essential items for local people in need.

Everything you need to get involved is on our website. https://cardiff.foodbank.org.uk/the-great-summer-street-collection

Thank you for your support. 🙏💚

As well as distributing food parcels, our centres also provide toiletries and cleaning products. We are always grateful for any donations but take a look to see what we are most in need of at the moment.

Yn ogystal â dosbarthu parseli bwyd, mae ein canolfannau banc bwyd hefyd yn darparu taclau ymolch a nwyddau glanhau. Ni'n ddiolchgar am unrhyw roddion ond dyma gip ar beth ni wir angen ar hyn o bryd.

It’s Volunteers’ Week, and we’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our fantastic corporate volunteers.

Corporate volunteering offers so much more than an extra pair of hands. Our corporate volunteers bring energy, enthusiasm, and valuable professional skills that make a real difference to our work. Whether they’re supporting supermarket collections, helping to process donations in our warehouse, or sharing specialist design and print skills, their contribution helps us support people across Cardiff facing hardship.

We’re grateful for the time, commitment, and passion our corporate volunteers bring to Cardiff Foodbank.

If your company or organisation is interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch by emailing [email protected].

We’re proud to be celebrating five years as an accredited Living Wage employer 🎉But for us, this has never just been a badge or a milestone.

The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate based on the actual cost of living – and as an anti-poverty charity, that matters deeply to us. We believe it’s essential to live our values, not just talk about them.

Every day at Cardiff Foodbank, we see the reality of in-work poverty – people who are employed but still can’t afford the basics like food and household bills. It’s a powerful reminder that work alone doesn’t always provide financial security.

That’s why being a Living Wage employer is so important to us. It’s a commitment to fairly value our small staff team and to lead by example in the fight against poverty and food insecurity.

Over the past five years, as the cost of living crisis has put increasing pressure on households, this commitment has only become more urgent.
We’d love to see more employers take this step.

📣 Paying the real Living Wage is a practical, impactful way to help tackle in-work poverty.

Because everyone deserves to earn enough to live on.

📣 This Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to introduce the four new trustees who joined the Cardiff Foodbank board earlier this year: Catherine May, Catherine Sutcliffe, Sarah Rogers and Stephen Jones.

Bringing a wealth of experience, perspectives and ideas, they join our existing board of trustees to help shape how we move towards our vision that no one in Cardiff goes hungry.

All of our trustees are volunteers who play a vital role in guiding our organisation, holding responsibility for its governance, management and overall direction.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our trustees for the time and support that they give. 💚

Information on all our trustees can be found here: https://cardiff.foodbank.org.uk/about-us/who-we-are/trustees

Did you know Cardiff Foodbank is powered by volunteers who give more than 22,000 hours of their time every year?

This Volunteers' Week, we're taking the opportunity to reflect on the incredible impact our volunteers make supporting around 20,000 people a year, and to thank them for sharing our vision that no one in Cardiff should go hungry.

Diolch yn fawr to every single one of you. 💚

Oeddech chi’n gwybod bod Banc Bwyd Caerdydd yn cael ei gefnogi gan wirfoddolwyr sy’n rhoi mwy na 22,000 awr o’u hamser bob blwyddyn?

Yn ystod Wythnos y Gwirfoddolwyr eleni, rydym ni’n manteisio ar y cyfle i fyfyrio ar yr effaith anhygoel mae ein gwirfoddolwyr yn ei chael ac i ddiolch iddynt am rannu ein gweledigaeth na ddylai neb yng Nghaerdydd fynd yn llwglyd.

Diolch yn fawr i bob un ohonoch chi. 💚

🥳 It’s Volunteers’ Week, and at Cardiff Foodbank we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who make our work possible.

Cardiff Foodbank is powered by our volunteers who are at the heart of everything we do. Whether campaigning, organising food drives, driving vans, providing administrative support, sorting donations in our warehouse, packing emergency food parcels, or offering a warm welcome at our food bank sessions, it is our volunteers’ dedication that makes what we do possible. Thanks to their commitment, people facing crises receive not only essential food supplies but also dignity, compassion, and hope when they need it most.

To every volunteer, thank you. Diolch yn fawr.💚
