This picture represents 79 people.

79 people that our “Parent Support Service” has directly impacted over the past 5 days.

When we talk about “79 people”, it can sound like a statistic.

Some reached out because they were worried about their child. Some were exhausted and running on empty. Some simply needed someone to say: “You’re not imagining it. We hear you.”

This is why our Charity exists.

Not just to provide information, but to provide connection, understanding and hope. Because behind every referral, phone call, email and support session is a real family who matters.

In the last 5 days, that has been 79 people.

Thank you to everyone who has kindly enquired about how to donate clothing to AP Cymru. We are so grateful.

Our clothing donation initiative is part of AP Cymru’s wider commitment to circular fashion, waste reduction, skills development and income generation across Wales.

Through reuse, repair, upcycling and redistribution, we aim to keep clothing and other items in use for longer, reduce avoidable waste, and create inclusive opportunities for neurodivergent individuals and communities.

This work also supports wider environmental goals around reuse, repair, circular economy behaviours and a greener, fairer Wales.

Please visit our new website page which will give you all the details about how to donate and our fashion and waste reduction statement - apcymru.org.uk/donate-clothing

This week and every week we celebrate the incredible unpaid carers who quietly dedicate so much of their time and love to supporting others.

Across , thousands of parents, grandparents, siblings, partners and family members provide care every day, often without recognition and often at great personal cost. They are the people attending appointments, navigating complex systems, advocating for their loved ones, providing reassurance during difficult times and offering support when it is needed most.

At AP Cymru, we know that many of the families we support include unpaid carers who are working tirelessly behind the scenes. Caring can be rewarding, but it can also be exhausting, isolating and overwhelming. That is why it is so important that carers know they are valued, appreciated and never alone.

To every unpaid carer in our AP Cymru community and beyond, thank you.

From all of us at AP Cymru, we celebrate you this week and every week.

Neurodivergent family carers across Wales are trying to hold everything together, but too often, they are holding it alone.

This testimonial from a parent who accessed a funded dyslexia assessment shows the power of early, accessible support.

This is what impact looks like.

This is what your support makes possible.

Our Carer focused projects for Neurodivergent families rely entirely on funder investment, corporate partnerships and CSR champions who believe in equity, dignity and early intervention.

If your organisation wants to create change that families in Wales feel immediately, we’d love to talk.
